nick cangemi
Nick Cangemi grew up in Queens where he played drums with various Rock & Roll Bands. He was a percussionist for two successful club bands, "Innervision," in the 80's and "The Late Show" in the '90s, playing every club from Hunter Mountain to the Hamptons, and the Jersey Shore to Vermont. After being introduced to Square Feeet's drummer, Jedd, by a mutual friend, he was asked to jam with the band… and the rest, as the saying goes, “is history.” Nick lives on Long Island and is a broker in the Newmark Knight Frank Long Island office. He enjoys the challenge of helping to keep the band grounded and thinks that playing live is better than … well, you know! Over the years Nick’s drum heroes - Danny Seraphine of “Chicago,” Ian Paice of “Deep Purple,” Jeff Porcaro of “Toto and Studio Great” - have inspired him to develop his own playing style. Nick says, “I really enjoy trying to copy my heroes, hoping to pay homage to some of the great players and adding a little something of my own. It’s never easy, but it makes for a fun time and a challenge playing some great songs with the guys in Square Feeet.”
